Robin Hood Season 1
Season 1:- Robin Hood is an adventure drama based on the stories of the well known English hero Robin Hood. The series was premiered on 7th October 2006 on ABC network. A total of 13 episodes were aired in Season 1. In the first episode we saw Robin Hood and his friend Much, come across various incidents of injustice being meted out to people. He appeals to the Sheriff for mercy, who turns a deaf ear to his pleas. Angered by this, Robin rescues the prisoners and becomes an outlaw along with Much, Will and Allan. In Sherwood Forest, they meet another band of outlaws headed by Little John. Robin saves Little John’s wife Alice, from the Sheriff’s men and the two join hands. Later, the Sheriff asks one of his men to kill innocent people, without revealing himself, and blame Robin Hood. To drag out the real killer, Robin agrees to protect the Sheriff. Marian helps Robin to identifying the killers who are murdered by the Guy of Gisborne to destroy evidence against the Sheriff. Later, Roy is kidnapped by the Sheriff and is given the choice to either save his mother or to kill Robin Hood. He fails in his attempt to kill Robin twice and reveals the truth. The Merry Men rescue Roy’s mother, and while escaping, Roy gives up his life. Soon after, the Sheriff plans to replace the striking miners with Saracen labor to work in his deadly mines. However Robins busts his plan and sets the labors free. One of the labors, Djaq helps Robin blow the mines.
Robin and his men, steal the tax money from the Sheriff’s castle and distribute it amongst the hungry villagers. Next Robin saves a band of outlaws from beating by the Sheriff’s men. Gisborne learns that Marian supports Robin. She is forced to accept the marriage proposal of Gisborne to prove her allegiance to the Sheriff. Robin comes to know that Gisborne tried to assassinate the King. The castle scientist invents explosive black powder and tells Robin about it. The Sheriff and Gisborne try to retrieve the explosive, but robin blows up the whole plot. Later on, the Sheriff demands Ransom for Prince Malik, who’s willing to negotiate for peace with Prince John. The ransom chest is guarded by assassins who fall prey to Harold, an expert in martial arts. Little John’s son, Little John and Luke are arrested and in the dungeons they meet Alice. Little John rescues his family and bids farewell to Luke, Alice and his son. Robin and Marian are worried about her marriage to Gisborne upon the King’s return. Marian, who is caught while stealing the riches of Gisborne, is stabbed by him. Thinking her to be dead Robin confesses his love to her. In the final episode of season 1, Robin devastated by Marian’s death launches a final battle and is victorious. On his return to the cave, Marian unbelievably wakes up. Robin is overjoyed, but Marian returns to her home to prepare for her wedding. Meanwhile, Much reveals that the King is an imposter. Marian leaves Gisborne at the altar and with the help of Robin rescues her father.
Seasons Top Ranked Episode - Robin Hood: The Return Of The King
This was the season’s most popular episode. Robin receives the news of the King’s return. He gets a confession from Pitt about the crimes of Gisbourne. Marian breaks into Gisborne’s house to steal his treasures. She is spotted by Gisborne, who stabs her while she is escaping with the help of Robin. Robin takes Marian to his cave where Djaq nurses her. Allan and Will have the money stolen from Gisborne’s house and decide to go to Scarborough. Robin brings Pitt to have a look at Marian. However, she is dead and he confesses his love to her.
