Keith Allan was born near Swansea in North Wales. He was bought up in Gosport. His father worked in the navy and was posted at Portsmouth. He married four times and has six children including the popular singer Lily Allen, actor Alfie Owen-Allen, and Sarah Allen. He is currently living with Tamzin Malleson, who is an actress. The two have a daughter named Teddie.
Keith has emerged as a versatile actor who has performed equally well on stage, television and films. Besides Robin Hood, he has done shows like Twin Town, Shallow Grave, Trainspotting, Bodies, and Top Gear etc Apart from being a terrific actor he is also an excellent singer and a very good writer. He has starred in various albums and and also written a book named Grow Up.

In Robin Hood, he plays the main villain i.e. The Sheriff of Nottingham. He is cruel and corrupt official, who wants to kill the King of England with the help of his associates namely Guy of Gisborne and Prince John. His main enemy is Robin Hood, who saves the people from his atrocities and also upsets his plan to kill the King. He uses different means to capture Robin Hood, but the tables are always turned on him.
