Harry Lloyd is a descendant of the great English novelist, Charles Dickens. He was born and bought up in London. He graduated from Eton College. While at College he starred in the televised version of David Copperfield. Later he was also cast in Goodbye Mr. Chips.
He then went on to study English at Oxford where he became involved with the Oxford University Dramatic Society. He was cast in the plays Kiss of the Spider Woman and The Comedy of Errors. After leaving Oxford in 2005, he was selected for the role of Will Scarlet in the series Robin Hood. His professional debut on stage came with A Gaggle of Saints, which is one of the three short plays comprising the show Bash.
Role In Robin Hood
In Robin Hood, he plays the character of Will Scarlet, who is a about to be hanged for stealing food. However Robin saves him and Will becomes an outlaw. His knowledge of carpentry helps him assist his friends in different ways. In the final episode of season 2, he confesses his love for Djaq and expresses his desire to live with her in the Holy Land.
